Born from a wish
to stay
Settled in a 20th-century building long beloved by Kraków's artists, Camelot CAFE was born in 1992 from a simple desire: to create a place where one would want to stay.
The building once served as backdrop for the cult film "Awantura o Basię" in the 1960s. Today, the place keeps that artistic memory in its rooms, objects, and painted walls.
The walls carry naïve art figurines, letters signed by King Zygmunt August, and paintings by Nikifor Krynicki. Every corner tells a story.
"That honour goes to Cafe Camelot, which might just be my favourite cafe in the world."
The Washington Post, 1998

A lived-in
scene
The original CAFE, darker and more enveloping. Its tall windows let in an evening light that gilds the tables, cups, conversations.
Between chandeliers, dark wood and collected objects, every room keeps a little mystery. Camelot CAFE reveals itself slowly, over coffee, dessert, or a conversation that lasts.

Steps from the old town, a house one visits for a moment and returns to by habit
Sheltered from time,
in the heart of Kraków
People come in for coffee, thick hot chocolate, a slice of cake. They stay for the tall-window light, the rose-toned walls, the close-set tables and the feeling of a house made familiar by time.
Something sweet, a coffee, a pause
From breakfast to house-made desserts, the menu keeps the spirit of the place: generous, simple, comforting, made for conversations that linger.
Come and
linger
